What happens is that, on a deferred custom action you can't use exernal properties (such as those supplied from the command line), you can only access internal ones such as CustomActionData. To uninstall Personal Communications silently, use the /s parameter in conjunction with the /x parameter as shown in the following example: X:\install\pcomm\setup.exe /s /x. #Installshield custom action command line parameters install#setup.exe /v"ServerName=test-srv ServerPort=67000" To install silently from source, where source medium is a network server, use the /s /v /qn parameters after pointing to the installation point in the command line.
